Three new sites that I recently found offering free royalty free music to use in your commercial projects with no fees or hassles from the man…

Cameron Music is offering a selection of tracks for free use in commercial projects. Some of the suspenseful tracks are pretty good, others are kind of midi sounding but all useful for low budget type projects.

Sonny Boo is a filmmaker who is offering a very nice selection of music tracks for absolutely free use in any commercial project. Very nice of him….

I had seen the Purple Planet website a few years ago when they were selling their music and just noticed that all of their music is now free for website type uses (including Youtube) with only a credit to the composer in return.
They also ask for donations but it is not required. The music is pretty cool too, check it out…

This is a list of 10 websites that offer lots of free royalty free video footage. We try to keep the registration sites and upsellers to minimum. We will keep updating as we find more.
If you have a free stock video footage site please post a comment and I will review it and add it to the main article. You can use free royalty free stock footage in your personal and commercial projects. You can often download it in NTSC and PAL formats which is basically covers the US (NTSC) and the rest of the world (PAL). Many of the videos loops and are meant to used in the background of elements you already have created such as text and titles or green screen elements.

PLEASE NOTE: you do have to create an account to download these files. I have created an account and it is as it says, free downloads of lots of stock footage.

40 New Royalty Free Music Collections From PIR

We’ve just finished publishing 40 new royalty free music collections available for download on the Partners In Rhyme website (they will also be available for shipping within a week or two).
I am just sending out a list of titles and links so you can listen to them at your leisure. It took me two months to prepare and publish these 40 new collections.

Free Online and Offline Audio File Conversion

At Partners In Rhyme we deliver all of the audio our customers order in WAV format. Some of our customers need their audio in MP3 format and we help them with instructions on how to easily convert their audio to any format they need using free iTunes software.

To convert using iTunes follow the instructions below:

Converting to MP3 is very easy. If you don’t already have it download the free app iTunes (Mac or PC) here:

Load all of the sounds into iTunes (simply drag and drop in most operating systems) then choose iTunes > Preferences
Click on the ‘General’ tab, then click on the ‘Import Settings’ button and choose ‘MP3 Encoder’.
You can also choose the quality setting you want or choose ‘custom’ if you have a specific setting in mind.
Click OK. Then go back to the library, select all of your tracks that you want to convert, then choose Advanced > Create MP3 Version.
Once that is done you will have an MP3 version of the track in your iTunes music folder.

Read Dead Redemption is one of my favorite PS3 games, not only for the game play but for the beautiful environments, musical soundtrack and flawless sound design.
I am posting a link to an in depth interview the audio director of Red Dead Redemption.

When I saw the first images of Red Dead Redemption I knew that it will be a beautiful and amazing game. Then, the gameplay confirmed me that not only the visuals were great. The sound work there was fantastic. Clean mix, great sounds, and a perfect sonic experience for any player.
